This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) forms part of your agreement with Giant Communications Ltd (“Giant”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It applies to:
The giantcomms.co.uk website
Customer portals and APIs
The “VoiceCloud” mobile application
Broadband, VoIP, SMS, and communication services
All related platforms and systems (collectively, the “Services”)
By using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy. If acting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity.
You must not use Giant services in any way that violates law, including but not limited to:
Computer Misuse Act 1990
Data Protection Act 2018
UK GDPR
Fraud, consumer protection, or communications regulations
Illegal use includes fraud, hacking, identity misuse, unlawful surveillance, or distribution of illegal material.
You must not use the Services to:
Distribute malware or malicious code
Share or publish personal data unlawfully
Host or distribute pornographic or adult content via network services
Promote prostitution or escort services
Host or link to child exploitation material
Promote terrorism, violence, or weapons sales
Sell illegal drugs or controlled substances
Operate payment aggregation schemes without authorisation
Run pyramid schemes or scams
Harass, threaten, or intimidate individuals
Misrepresent products or services
Infringe copyright, trademarks, or intellectual property
You must not:
Attempt unauthorised access to systems or networks
Conduct vulnerability scanning or probing
Use hacking or exploitation tools
Interfere with network performance
Circumvent security controls
Violations may result in civil and criminal liability.
Residential services must not be used for:
Commercial hosting or server farms
High-volume automated traffic
Traffic pumping, robocalling, or SMS spamming
Activities that degrade network performance
Business usage requires an appropriate commercial service.
You may not use Giant services to send:
Spam email
Bulk unsolicited SMS
Robocalls
Marketing without consent
Purchased email lists are treated as spam. Giant operates a zero-tolerance anti-spam policy.
You must not publish copyrighted material without permission.
We may remove infringing content and terminate repeat offenders. We may require legal documentation before acting on some takedown requests.
You must not overload systems or attempt denial-of-service attacks or any activity that disrupts service for others.
You are responsible for:
Securing your devices and systems
Protecting login credentials
Activity carried out via your account
Giant is not responsible for breaches due to insecure customer systems.
We may, at our discretion and without notice:
Suspend or terminate services
Remove content
Restrict access
Report to law enforcement
Recover costs arising from abuse
Failure to respond to abuse notices may result in account suspension.
Accounts terminated for abuse will not normally be reinstated.
Suspected breaches should be reported via Giant support or legal contact channels.
This Policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Services indicates acceptance of the current version.
